Captain's Causes Will Raise Awareness for Non-Profits

The Peoria Rivermen are proud to announce a new charitable component to their partnerships this season with the addition of the Captain's Causes initiative. Each month of the season, a different non-profit organization will be spotlighted through all available Rivermen outlets in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the cause.

Make plans to join the Peoria Rivermen at Pumpkin Postal, Wines 'n More of Morton, Ill. for a special wine tasting event from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday. Dean Arsene, Adam Cracknell, Nick Drazenovic,Brennan Evans, and T.J. Hensick as well as head coach Jared Bednar and assistant coach Danny Brooks will be attending the event and mingling with fans throughout the evening.

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders to Return to Carver Arena

The Peoria Rivermen are pleased to announce that the world famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will be at their game on Saturday, March 5, 2011. The Rivermen will take to the ice against the Chicago Wolves at 7:05 p.m. and America's Sweethearts will entertain the crowd with performances during both intermissions.
Dressed in their trademark blue and white uniforms, the cheerleaders will meet fans and sign autographs before the game beginning when the doors open at 6 p.m.

Rivermen Team Up With Susan G. Komen for the Cure

The Peoria Rivermen and Susan G. Komen for the Cure have partnered together for this year's Pink in the Rink Night which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7:05 p.m. when the Rivermen take on the Oklahoma City Barons. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales as well as a postgame jersey auction will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Graham Mink Earns AHL Player of the Week Honors

The American Hockey League announced today that Peoria Rivermen right wing Graham Mink has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 17, 2010. Mink tallied two goals and seven assists for nine points to go with a plus-5 rating in four games.

Ryan Reaves Makes His NHL Debut for St. Louis

Postgame Radio Show Is Headed to the Locker Room

The Peoria Rivermen open their season on Friday and will wrap up the night's festivities with a live radio show broadcast from the Locker Room Sports Bar & Grill on Jefferson St. following the game. Rivermen head coach Jared Bednar will join radio voice Brendan Burke to break down the game and mingle with fans following the home opener.

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced Thursday that the club has signed defenseman Derek Peltier to a professional tryout contract. The Rivermen now have 23 players on their roster; 15 forwards, six defensemen and two goaltenders.

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced Sunday that the club has assigned goaltender Gerald Coleman, forward Kory Falite and defenseman Mark Isherwood the Rivermen's ECHL affiliate, the Alaska Aces.
