February 11 Game Backed Up to 7:05 P.M.

The Rivermen and Aeros will play their game on Feb. 11 at 7:05 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 6:05 p.m. The game had been scheduled early to accommodate their game in St. Paul, Minn.the next day.

The Rivermen and Houston Aeros will get a taste of the NHL when they play at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. The game that was originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12 will now be played on Sunday Feb. 13 at 1 p.m.

Cracknell Promoted to St. Louis, Cole Returns to Peoria

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Sunday that the club has recalled forward Adam Cracknell from the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. To make room for Cracknell, the defenseman Ian Cole has been sent back to Peoria.

Nikita Nikitin and Todd Perry Added to Rivermen Roster

With injuries on the Blues blueline starting to heal, St. Louis has reassigned defenseman Nikita Nikitin to Peoria. Nikitin has a goal in four games with the Rivermen so far this season.

Blues Reassign Adam Cracknell

Cracknell made his NHL debut on Dec. 15, 2010 at Detroit. In doing so, he became the 54th player to play for the both the Rivermen and the St. Louis Blues in the same season since Peoria joined the AHL prior to the 2005-06 season.

The St. Louis Blues have recalled forwards Adam Cracknell, Chris Porter and Dave Scatchard from Peoria. It is the first NHL recall in Cracknell's career after 284 games in the AHL and ECHL.

The Peoria Rivermen have announced that their second "Tip-A-Riv" Dinner will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Gracie's Sports Grille & Pizza in Washington. All of the money raised throughout the evening will benefit the Cherish Every Moment - The Dax Locke Foundation.

Players to Lend Helping Hand at Children's Hospital Radiothon

The Peoria Rivermen players will be answering phones and lending a helping hand for the Children's Hospital of Illinois 10th Annual Radiothon for Kids. The Radiothon will take place from Dec. 9-10 and will be hosted by John Riley on 93.3 The Drive. Any person who makes a donation, of at least $5, on Dec. 9 between 2-3:30 p.m. will receive four tickets to the Rivermen game on Sunday, Dec. 19.

Rivermen Freshmen Majored in Chemistry

You don't have to study it in college to learn chemistry, at least not the kind that you need to build a winning hockey team. The Rivermen rookies have given the team a step up on the competition by bringing chemistry with them to the team.

Teddy Bear Toss and Coats for Kids Drive to Take Place at Dec. 11 Game

The Peoria Rivermen are pleased to announce that this year's "Teddy Bear Toss" will take place during the Rivermen game against the Grand Rapids Griffins on Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. The team will also be collecting coats to donate to the Salvation Army's Coats for Kids efforts.

Blues Assign Defenseman Nikita Nikitin to Peoria

Russian-born defender Nikita Nikitin is on his way to Peoria after being assigned from St. Louis on Thursday. An injury during training camp delayed the start of his season until Nov. 6 but since then he has appeared in 12 games with the Blues.

T.J. Hensick and Chris Porter Return to Peoria in Four Player Swap

The Rivermen and Blue swapped a pair of forwards on Wednesday, sending T.J. Hensick and Chris Porter back to Peoria while veteran Dave Scatchard and rookie Stefan Della Rovere have been recalled by the Blues.

Jake Allen Named Reebok/AHL Goaltender of the Month for November

Rookie goaltender Jake Allen has taken home the top goaltending award in the American Hockey League for the month of November after going 6-1-0 in seven starts with three shutouts. He is the first Rivermen goaltender to ever be named the AHL's goalie of the month.
