Blues Swap Julian Talbot for T.J Hensick with Colorado

St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today they have acquired forward T.J. Hensick from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward Julian Talbot.


Hensick, 24, played in seven games for Colorado last season, recording three points (1g, 2a) and played in 58 games last season for Lake Erie of the American Hockey League, scoring 20 goals and adding 50 assists for 70 points. In 2008-09 he played in 61 games for the Avalanche and recorded 21 points (4g, 17a). The 5’10”, 190 lb. Howell, Michigan native was originally drafted by Colorado in the third round (88th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.


Talbot, 25, played in 76 games in 2009-10 for Peoria and recorded 32 points (17g, 15a). He has spent the last three seasons in Peoria and accumulated 125 points (61g, 64a) in 219 regular season games.
