RIVERMEN (17-15-2-1) vs. WOLVES (16-12-1-3)

Last 10: Peoria 6-3-1-0; Chicago 7-3-0-0

Season series: Tonight marks the seventh of 10 meetings between the Peoria Rivermen and Chicago Wolves this season. Overall, the Rivermen are 3-2-1-0 against Chicago after suffering an overtime loss in their last meeting.  In four previous games at Carver Arena, the Rivermen are 2-1-1-0 against the Wolves. This is the 65th overall meeting between the division rivals with the Rivermen holding a 25-31-3-5 record in those games.

Big story: The Rivermen enter tonight’s contest with points in four straight games – a streak that dates back to their last meeting with the Wolves in a 4-3 overtime loss on Dec. 26.

Team scope:

Rivermen: Peoria endured their league-leading eighth three-games-in-three-days series last weekend and managed to tally six points for the first time this season in such a series.

The Rivermen won their most recent matchup against Milwaukee -- their first in six meetings this season – last Sunday at the Bradley Center.

Ben Bishop stopped all 18 shots on goal en route to his league-leading fifth shutout while Rivermen captain Adam Cracknell scored the game’s lone goal.

Wolves: Chicago last came to Peoria just 11 days ago and captured an overtime win with just 47 seconds left.

More recently, the Wolves fell 4-1 against the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday, Dec. 31 and dropped to fourth place in the Midwest Division and remain one point behind the Rivermen.

Although Eddie Lack has received a majority of the starts for Chicago this season, goaltender Matt Climie started both games last weekend including a 5-3 win over Rockford.

Who's hot: Rivermen goaltender Ben Bishop won three games in three consecutive days last weekend and currently ranks third in the league in save percentage (.930) and seventh in GAA (2.23).
