Ben Bishop Assigned Back to Peoria

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned goaltender Ben Bishop to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. 

 

Bishop, 25, has appeared in 36 games with Peoria this season and has posted a .929 save percentage, a 2.25 goals against average and six shutouts along with a 23-13-0 record.  The 6’7, 215-pound goaltender was recently named MVP of the 2012 AHL All-Star Game.

 

A native of St. Louis, Bishop was originally drafted by the Blues in the third round, 85th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
