Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald
announced today the club added athletic trainer Dustin Flynn to its staff. Flynn replaces Chris Palmer who has joined the St. Louis Blues as an assistant
29, comes to Peoria after spending one season with the ECHL Florida
Everblades. Prior to joining the
Everblades, he spent three years as an assistant athletic trainer at Rensselaer
native of Lancaster, NH, Flynn received a bachelor’s degree in athletic
training from Springfield College in 2005. While in school, he interned with
the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. He went on to receive a
master’s degree in exercise and sports science from Ithaca College and work as
a graduate assistant with Cornell University.
A certified strength and conditioning specialist
(CSCS), Flynn is also a member of NATA (National Trainers Association), NSCA
(National Strength and Conditioning Association) and PHATS (Professional Hockey
Athletic Trainers Society).
