The Peoria Rivermen announced today that right wing Pascal Pelletier has been named the World Painting Company Player of the Month for January. During the first month of 2010, Pelletier scored three goals and added eight assists to lead the Rivermen in points.
A native of Labrador City, NL, Pelletier registered a season-long seven-game assist streak from Jan. 10-29 and recorded a point in eight of the month’s 12 games. He scored twice on Jan. 15 during a game in Grand Rapids and added an assist for his second three-point game of the season.
Acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets on Dec. 7, Pelletier has accumulated 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in his 23 games with the Rivermen. He now leads the Rivermen with 34 points in 49 total games.
