Blues Assign Defenseman Cade Fairchild to Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned defenseman Cade Fairchild to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Fairchild, 22, has dressed in five games for the Blues this season posting his first career NHL point (assist) on Jan. 12 against Vancouver. The 5’11, 175-pound defenseman has also made 32 appearances for the Rivermen posting 17 points (three goals, 14 assists) and an AHL leading +21 rating.
The Duluth, Minnesota native was drafted by the Blues in the fourth round, 96th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
