Rivermen Sign Gunner Moore, Release Moran and Davis

PEORIA, IL – The Peoria Rivermen announced on Wednesday that they have signed defenseman Gunner Moore to the active roster ahead of the final weekend of the regular season. The Rivermen have also waived defenseman Alex Davis and forward Mike Moran.
Moore, a native of Las Vegas, NV, comes to the Rivermen after four years of college hockey at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he totaled 56 points in 115 games. Moore was also a member of the Robertson Cup Champion Shreveport Mudbugs in 2022 while playing junior hockey in the NAHL.
Mike Moran played in eight games with the Rivermen this year after being acquired at the trade deadline from Pensacola. Moran had a goal and two assists for three points in that span.
Davis starred in 38 games for the Rivermen this year and contributed seven points (two goals, five assists) after being acquired from the Fayetteville Marksmen earlier in the season.
The Rivermen will conclude the regular season on Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4, as they host the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs at Carver Arena at 3:15 pm. Face-off for both games is set for 7:15 pm. Fans can call 309-676-1040 for tickets.
